This has been a lovely restoration project as the original canopy had been cut off.
I have had this fireplace blasted to remove the old paint.
I have sourced a new decorative canopy and bonded it into place along with a new front grate .
The original firestones were missing on this one too and has a substantial rear casing and I have boarded it with MDF and painted to match along with the original coal grate .
It has its original top shelf ,
There is some small pitting marks on the main breast of the canopy and see photo .
This is painted in Matt black metal paint and is for decorative purposes only.
