This Is a beautiful large cast iron fireplace.
I have spent time refurbishing this one as it was missing its top and had some hairline cracks along to top of the legs .
I have bonded the back with fiberglass repair kit and strengthened the sides with wooden supports none of which will be visable when fitted .
The top was missing and I have replaced with a chunky piece of pine and painted to match .
The front canopy is a replacement and is made of brass covering over the original canopy and design is pressed into the material and painted to match and bonded into place .
The rear section was snapped off and I have bonded into place and this fire is for decorative purposes only.
It sounds like I’ve done alot to save this one but is is a stunning fireplace and will make an amazing focal point in any room .
